Can a courier take samples from Newham Hospital in Plaistow to another lab today?
Yes. A driver is normally at the hospital or any E13 address within the hour. The item travels in one van to the receiving lab or clinic, with a named handover. The Royal London in Whitechapel is about 20 minutes away off-peak. You approve the cost at booking.
Plaistow’s Hospital
Plaistow is home to the borough’s main acute hospital. Barts Health NHS Trust describes Newham Hospital, on Glen Road, E13 8SL, as caring for one of the most diverse populations in England, providing emergency care, surgery, women’s and children’s health, maternity services and specialist medicine.
A hospital of that size exchanges items with other sites every day: samples to pathology labs, equipment borrowed from sister hospitals such as the Royal London and Whipps Cross, medicines, records and supplies. Much of it runs on scheduled transport, but urgent items do not wait for the next run. A courier in Plaistow that can reach Glen Road quickly and drive directly to the receiving department fills that gap. We carry packaged specimens, instruments and documents, and hand them to the named person. See our medical courier page.
Clinics and pharmacies nearby
Around the hospital are GP practices, community health centres, dental surgeries and pharmacies. They send prescriptions, test kits, equipment for repair and paperwork across east London, often at short notice.

How Plaistow Connects
The A13 Newham Way runs along Plaistow’s southern edge, leading west to Canning Town, the Blackwall Tunnel and the City, and east to Barking and the M25. Barking Road and Plaistow Road link north to Stratford and the A12. If we use the Blackwall or Silvertown tunnel, or deliver into the central zone, the charges are part of the fixed price. Our vans are ULEZ compliant.

Plaistow Courier FAQs
Can you deliver equipment to a department at Newham Hospital?
Yes. Give us the department name, a contact and any delivery entrance. The driver hands it over in person and records the signature.
Do you run overnight for hospital work in Plaistow?
Yes, every night. Night bookings cost slightly more than daytime ones, and that difference is shown in the quote you accept.
Is the Silvertown Tunnel charge added to Plaistow jobs?
No. When we use it, the charge is part of the fixed price, as with the Blackwall Tunnel and the Congestion Charge.
Does your Plaistow cover reach Upton Park and Canning Town?
Yes, and also West Ham, Custom House and East Ham. No part of Newham carries a surcharge.
Can you move a fridge from a Plaistow flat to a new home?
Yes. Tell us the floor and whether there is a lift. Heavy white goods get a two person crew and a trolley.
