    Quick answer

Do you provide same day couriers for construction sites?

Yes. We send a dedicated van and driver to your site, usually collecting within 30 to 60 minutes, then head straight to you with no other drops along the way. Every job gets a fixed, all-inclusive price agreed before we set off, plus signed or photographed proof of delivery once it’s done.

A site waiting on one missing part is a site paying a full crew to stand still. Our construction courier service exists for exactly that moment: fixings and consumables, tools, plant and machine parts, drawings, and last-minute materials from the merchant, collected within the hour and driven straight to the gate, the hoist or the floor you name.

Deliveries Built Around How Sites Actually Run

    • Timed delivery slots. We work to your traffic marshal, hoist booking or delivery management system, not the other way round.
    • Site requirements sorted at booking. PPE-equipped drivers, induction details, gate passes and the right contact confirmed before the van leaves.
    • Merchant collections on your account. Give us your reference and we’ll collect from builders’ merchants, hire shops and specialist suppliers on your behalf.
    • Plant breakdown support. Parts to a stranded excavator, hoist or generator, coordinated directly with the fitter on site.
    • Long and heavy loads. 4-metre lengths travel safely in the LWB van, and full pallets go out on a tail-lift Luton when the telehandler’s busy elsewhere.

    Handling London Sites Every Day

Congestion zones, ULEZ, red routes and borough-by-borough restrictions are ordinary territory for our drivers, and every charge already sits inside your fixed quote.

We’re on Canary Wharf towers one week and Croydon regeneration sites the next, running London borough by borough with the same dedicated-driver model. For the full picture of where we cover, see our London courier coverage.

Out of Hours Is Normal for Us Too

Night closures, weekend possessions and 6am starts are standard in construction, and standard for us too. Our overnight courier service reaches night shifts and early starts, with a timestamped photo as proof of delivery for your records.

Why a Dedicated Vehicle Suits a Live Site

Construction output across Great Britain grew just 0.4% in the first quarter of 2026, with new work down 1.9% against the previous quarter, according to gov.uk construction statistics. When a programme is running that tight, a half-day wait for one part is real money, not a rounding error.

Material price inflation across all UK construction work reached 3.2% in the year to April 2026, so a shortage that forces a second-choice supplier or a rush order costs more than the fuel to fetch it. A dedicated van and one driver means your part travels alone, straight from collection to your site, without sitting in a depot or a shared network waiting for a full load.

One Call, A Team That Already Knows Sites

You get a dedicated driver who’s collected from merchants and delivered to live builds before, not a call centre reading from a script.

Common Construction & Trade Jobs We Handle

Materials to site when they’re needed, spares between yards, and rescue jobs when the merchant can’t deliver in time.

    • Rescue deliveries when the merchant’s out of stock. One branch is empty, so we collect the same part from a different branch and get it to site the same day.
    • Fixings, fasteners & specialist tools to site. A trade held up by one small part that’s two hours away, moving while the job stands still.
    • Sample panels & mock-ups to design review. Getting a panel to an architect’s review, a planning submission or a client sign-off on the date it’s needed.
    • Fit-out fabric between workshop and site. Joinery, metalwork and glazing moved from the subcontractor’s workshop straight to the installation point.
    • Pallet moves between merchants, yards and sites. Multiple pallets on a single Luton van with a tail lift, one driver, one trip.
    • Snagging & warranty repair parts. The right spec and the right size to the site foreman when it’s needed, not next week.
    FAQs

    Construction Courier FAQs

What happens if my delivery is delayed or refused at the gate?

Your driver calls you straight away rather than leaving the load or turning back. If a marshal holds the van or a gate’s shut when we arrive, we’ll wait within reason, try another access point if there is one, or agree a new time with you on the spot.

Do your drivers carry insurance for the materials they’re carrying?

Yes. Every driver runs on goods in transit cover alongside hire and reward insurance, so your materials are covered from collection to drop-off. Ask for the certificate at booking if your site or main contractor needs one on file.

Can your van get onto a site with restricted access or a height limit?

Tell us the access details when you book and we’ll send the right vehicle for it. We run four van classes from a small van up to a Luton, so tight yards, low barriers or narrow site roads can usually be matched to a van that fits rather than one that gets turned away.

Will your driver complete a site induction before coming on site?

Yes, if your site needs one. Give us the induction requirements, gate contact and any PPE rules at booking, and the driver arrives ready to complete it before going near the works.

Can you collect materials from a builders’ merchant against our account or purchase order?

Yes. Give the driver your account reference or PO number and they’ll collect against it, check the goods at the merchant, and photograph everything before leaving. It works the same way at hire shops and specialist suppliers.

Do you deliver to construction sites at night or over a weekend?

Yes, we run 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including night closures, weekend possessions and early starts before 7am. Timestamped photo proof of delivery goes with every job regardless of the hour.

How fast can a courier get materials to a construction site?

Most same day bookings are collected within 60 minutes of the call and delivered directly, with no depot or sorting stop in between. Actual delivery time depends on distance and traffic, but a cross-city job is typically completed within one to two hours of booking.

Can couriers deliver to sites with restricted access or a set delivery window?

Yes. Tell us about site inductions, PPE requirements, banksman arrangements or a fixed delivery slot when you book, and we’ll brief the driver before collection so there’s no delay or turned-away vehicle at the gate.

What size vehicle do I need for a pallet of materials?

A standard pallet usually needs a Luton van with a tail lift so it can be wheeled on and off safely rather than lifted by hand. If you’re not sure of the dimensions or weight, describe the load when you call and we’ll match the vehicle.

Do same day couriers cover multiple sites in one day?

Yes, multi-drop and multi-collection runs can be arranged, particularly for contractors with several sites in the same region. For regular multi-site runs a contract arrangement is usually more cost-effective than booking each leg separately.

What happens if the site isn’t ready to receive the delivery?

Drivers are briefed to follow site safety instructions, including holding back or refusing to unload if conditions aren’t safe. Let us know in advance if a site has specific waiting or holding areas so this is factored into the job. Need a part, a pallet or a set of drawings on site today?
