What’s included in our airport courier service?
One dedicated vehicle and driver working your job alone, with collection typically within 30 to 60 minutes of booking. Your consignment travels direct to the airport with no depots and no co-loading, backed by phone or SMS updates, photo or signature proof of delivery, and a fixed all-inclusive price. We run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to every London airport and airports right across the UK.
An aircraft on the ground is losing money by the minute, and a missed flight cut-off can undo weeks of planning. Our airport courier service exists for exactly that pressure: AOG components, ships’ spares, flight documents, crew kit and time-critical freight, collected fast and driven direct to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City, or on to regional airports nationwide. Tell us the flight number and the cut-off time, and we plan the run backwards from there, building in buffer for the parts of the job you can’t control.
When an Aircraft Is Grounded, Every Hour Counts
We collect components from MRO facilities, parts stores and inbound freight sheds, then drive them straight to the handling agent, engineering base or airside reception point. Airway bill references, security declarations and paperwork are agreed at the point of booking, not worked out at the gate. Our drivers know the ground handlers that keep Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted moving, from Horton Road’s cargo sheds to the terminal-side handling counters run by operators such as dnata, Swissport, Menzies Aviation and IAG Cargo, so your consignment reaches the right hands first time.
Built Around Your Flight’s Cut-Off
Getting cargo onto a specific departure means beating the handling agent’s acceptance deadline, which is often hours before the aircraft pushes back. Give us the flight number and the cut-off and we work backwards from it: collection time, route, and a margin for whatever the road throws at us. You’ll get progress updates as the driver moves, then a timestamped confirmation once the consignment is accepted airside. Rescued connections, exhibition freight onto tonight’s flight, contracts onto the last departure of the day: this is routine work for us, not an exception.
How Our Airport Courier Service Works
Call or request a quote online and tell us what’s moving, where from, and the deadline. We dispatch the nearest driver in a vehicle matched to the load: a small van or SWB van for AOG parts, tooling and flight documents, an LWB van for bulkier components, or a Luton van when a full pallet of ships’ spares needs to move in one run. Collection is typically within 30 to 60 minutes of booking, the drive is direct with no sorting hub in between, and you get proof of delivery the moment the consignment is signed for. See our SWB van page for typical AOG loads.
Why Speed to the Terminal Still Matters
Heathrow alone moved just under 1.6 million tonnes of cargo in 2025, a record year and its busiest December on record for freight, according to Heathrow’s own year-end traffic figures. Punctuality has improved industry-wide too: the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s latest data shows 73% of UK flights operated within 15 minutes of schedule in 2025, up from 67% the year before. That’s real progress, but it still leaves roughly one flight in four running early, late or rebooked, which is exactly why a fixed cut-off and a dedicated vehicle matter more than a generic delivery slot.
Beyond the Big Five
- Regional airports nationwide, including Birmingham, Manchester, East Midlands (a major overnight air freight hub) and Edinburgh
- Ships’ spares moved to ports and airports under ‘in transit’ arrangements
- Cleared inbound cargo collected from the shed and run to your premises within the hour
- Crew and passenger essentials, forgotten passports, uniforms, medical items, raced to check-in before the gate closes
Our Heathrow-based drivers are minutes from the cargo terminals and can be moving within the hour of your call.
London Luton closed 2025 with more than 17.5 million passengers and its best-ever satisfaction scores, and remains easyJet’s largest UK base. Drivers covering our Luton courier service know the airport’s cargo and general aviation side as well as the terminal.
Reading and the wider Thames Valley, sometimes called England’s Silicon Valley for its concentration of technology and logistics firms, sits on the M4 corridor a short run from Heathrow’s cargo sheds. Our Reading courier team handles the business park and airport runs in the same afternoon.

Airport Courier FAQs
How much does an airport courier delivery cost?
There’s no fixed price list, because AOG and flight-critical jobs vary too much for one. Tell us the collection point, the airport, the flight cut-off and what’s moving, and you’ll get a fixed all-inclusive quote before you book, with nothing added afterwards.
How fast can you collect and get to Heathrow, Gatwick or the other London airports?
Collection is typically within 30 to 60 minutes of booking. From central and south London the drive to Heathrow usually takes 45 to 75 minutes depending on traffic, and it’s often quicker from the South East to Gatwick or Stansted, especially at night.
Can you deliver goods airside or straight to the aircraft?
We deliver to handling agents, cargo sheds and security-controlled reception points. The final airside movement onto the aircraft is completed by the airport’s own authorised personnel, and we coordinate the handover so your consignment keeps moving without a gap.
Is my cargo insured while it’s in transit to the airport?
Yes, every job runs under our goods-in-transit insurance. For high-value AOG components or ships’ spares, tell us the declared value when you book so cover and handling are agreed upfront, not queried after the event.
Do ULEZ and the congestion charge push the price up?
No. Our quote is fixed and all-inclusive before you book, so any ULEZ or congestion charge cost is already built in rather than added as a surprise extra once the job is done.
Can you collect a cleared inbound consignment from the airport?
Yes. Give us the airway bill and release details and we’ll collect from the cargo shed as soon as customs clears it, then drive it straight to your premises the same day.
How quickly can a courier collect an AOG part for delivery to an airport?
Collections are usually arranged within 30 to 60 minutes of booking. Give us the part, the collection point and the handling agent’s acceptance deadline, and we’ll work back from that to confirm a realistic collection time.
Can you deliver directly to a handling agent or cargo shed with a fixed acceptance deadline?
Yes. Tell us the airport, cargo shed and acceptance time, along with any security or access requirements, and the driver will arrive for that slot rather than turning up and queuing behind other bookings.
Do you handle customs paperwork for AOG parts arriving from overseas?
We carry the airway bill, commercial invoice and any Temporary Admission references you provide and follow your freight forwarder’s or handling agent’s instructions precisely. For full customs brokerage we work alongside your appointed agent rather than replacing them.
Can you collect cargo that has just cleared customs at the airport?
Yes. Give us the airway bill and release details and we’ll collect from the shed as soon as the consignment is cleared, then deliver it directly to your engineering base or premises the same hour.
Do you cover regional airports as well as Heathrow and Gatwick?
Yes. Alongside Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City, we cover regional airports including East Midlands, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh, with the same 30 to 60 minute collection window. Got a part that has to be on site before the next flight leaves? Get a same day courier quote and we’ll confirm collection within the hour.
