What does our man and van service include?
Our man and van service gives you one dedicated vehicle and driver for your job alone, with collection typically within 30 to 60 minutes of booking. You get direct point-to-point delivery, no depots and no sharing your van with someone else’s furniture, plus proactive updates and photo or signature proof of delivery. Prices are fixed and all-inclusive, and we’re on call 24/7, 365 days a year across London and the rest of the UK.
Not every job on our books is freight. Some days it’s a single sofa crossing town, a studio flat’s worth of boxes, or a wardrobe you’ve just won at auction. Our man and van service sends a driver who actually helps you load and unload, in a clean, well-kept van, with the price agreed before anyone lifts a finger. You’ll get a text when we’re on the way and a photo the moment your items are safely delivered.
What’s Included With Every Move
- A driver who helps load and unload, every time, with a second pair of hands for anything heavy or awkward
- Blankets, straps and a trolley on board to keep your things scratch and dent free
- One fixed price up front, congestion charge and ULEZ already included, no clock-watching
- Evening and weekend slots at the same price, no premium for booking outside 9 to 5
- Goods-in-transit and public liability insurance on every job
How Our Man and Van Service Works
Call or request a quote online and a controller will confirm your price on the spot, no waiting for a callback. A dedicated driver is dispatched to your address, usually within 30 to 60 minutes of booking, and drives straight to the drop-off with nothing else loaded in between. There’s no depot, no sorting hub and no swapping your items onto a different van halfway through the day.
When the job’s done, you get proof of delivery by photo or signature, so you know exactly when your sofa, boxes or auction win arrived and who signed for it, whether that’s a short hop across Kingston or a longer run up the country.
Popular Man and Van Jobs
Single items move constantly through our diary: sofas, beds, wardrobes, garden furniture and the odd upright piano. Small flat and house moves across London and the South East fill the rest, alongside student flits at the start and end of term, when halls empty out over a single weekend.
eBay, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace and auction-house collections are a regular job too, and they pair well with our wider ecommerce delivery service if you’re dispatching stock rather than personal items. We collect the item, check it against your listing photos, and send you a picture before we set off, so you know exactly what’s arriving.
Around 2.1 million house moves happen across the UK every year, close to 6,000 a day according to the HomeOwners Alliance, and a good number of those are the small, local moves we specialise in. Over a quarter happen within a single mile of the previous address, based on housing survey data reported by Savills, which is exactly the kind of short hop a man and van handles better than a full removals lorry.
We’re regularly booked across Croydon, out to Sutton and Kingston, and into the centre for office moves near Waterloo and Victoria. Further out, we’re just as often in Ealing, Watford and the towns ringing the M25, so don’t assume you’re outside our patch.
The Right Van, Honestly Recommended
A SWB van handles most single items and studio flats without any fuss, room enough for a sofa, a wardrobe or a full run of house boxes.
Step up to a LWB van for a one-bed move, and it still parks like a normal van on a residential street.
A Luton with a tail lift takes on two-bed homes and heavier furniture without drama, and the tail lift saves your back on anything with real weight to it. We handled a Richmond to Battersea flat move like this only last month, three trips confirmed as two before the driver had even finished loading. Tell us what’s moving, since a quick photo helps more than a description, and we’ll recommend the smallest van that does the job comfortably, which keeps your price down.

Man and Van Service FAQs
Does the driver help with loading and unloading?
Yes, loading and unloading help is included as standard on every man and van booking. For heavier or awkward items, such as an upright piano, an American fridge freezer or anything going up several flights of stairs, we send a second crew member and quote it up front so there are no surprises on the day.
Can you collect an eBay, Vinted or Facebook Marketplace item for me?
Yes, this is one of our most regular jobs. Send us the listing details, the seller’s address and your reference, and the driver collects the item, checks it against the photos, and delivers it to your door, often the same day.
Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture such as flat-pack wardrobes or beds?
We can, within reason. Straightforward flat-pack items like wardrobes, bed frames and shelving units are no problem for the driver to take apart and rebuild. Let us know when you book so we can allow the extra time and quote it accurately.
How much notice do you need to book a man and van?
Often none at all. Most bookings are collected within 30 to 60 minutes of the call, though a little notice, even an hour, helps us match you with the right sized van. For a planned move, booking the day before guarantees your preferred time slot.
What happens if there’s no parking outside my property?
Tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it. Many London streets need a parking suspension permit from the local council, which we can advise on, and in the meantime our driver will find the nearest safe spot and carry items the rest of the way.
Do you handle full house removals, or just small moves?
We specialise in small and single-item moves: studio flats, one and two-bed homes, and partial moves. For a full house with packing and multiple rooms, you’ll be better served by a dedicated removals firm, and we’ll tell you honestly if that’s the better fit.
“One sofa from Wimbledon to Brighton on a Sunday morning — on time, careful through two doorways, and cheaper than the ‘big name’ quotes. Highly recommend.”
