Accessibility Statement
How we make this site usable for everyone, what we have done, what is still outstanding, and how to tell us if something does not work.
This statement applies to samedaycourierdelivery.co.uk. We want everyone to be able to book an urgent delivery, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit, so we describe below what we have done and what we know is still outstanding rather than claiming full conformance.
What we have done
- A skip link to the main content appears on every page for keyboard users.
- Every page has one clear H1 and a logical heading order.
- Pages are built from semantic HTML landmarks, so screen readers can navigate by region.
- Images carry alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Data tables use header cells with scope, and carry captions describing their contents.
- Text resizes without loss of content, and the site works at mobile widths.
- A full HTML sitemap provides an alternative way to reach any page.
Known limitations
- We have not verified colour contrast against every background combination across the site.
- Some longer pages have reading difficulty above the level we would like, and we are simplifying them over time.
- The site has not been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser.
