What’s included in same day pallet delivery?
You get a dedicated vehicle and driver for your pallets alone, nobody else’s freight, no depots and no co-loading. Collection is usually within 30 to 60 minutes of booking, then it’s a direct run to the drop-off point. You’ll get updates by phone or text along the way, photo or signature proof of delivery on arrival, and one fixed price agreed before you book. It runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year, across London and the rest of the UK.
Pallet networks work through hubs, trunk runs and next-day timetables. Your freight sits, gets scanned, gets reloaded, and waits its turn behind everyone else’s. Our same day pallet delivery skips all of that. One dedicated van collects your pallets within 30 to 60 minutes of your call and drives them straight to the delivery point, often arriving hours (sometimes a full day) ahead of a networked service, with your load untouched from the moment it’s loaded to the moment it’s tipped.
Pallet Capacity, Van by Van
A SWB van takes one standard UK pallet (1200×1000mm) up to around 800kg. Step up to a LWB van and you get room for three pallets or 1,200kg. Need five pallets, or nowhere to unload without a forklift? A Luton with a tail lift carries up to five pallets or 1,000kg and lowers them to the ground itself, no forklift needed at either end. Got more than five pallets moving? We split the load across paired vehicles running the same route together. Full dimensions sit on our vehicle comparison page.
When Same Day Freight Beats the Network
- Missed the network cut-off? We’ll still collect tonight and have it there before a networked service would even have left the hub.
- Fragile or high-value freight. One van, one driver and no hub handling means far less risk of damage in transit.
- Line-side and just-in-time drops. Factories, RDCs and construction sites booked into a timed slot, met on the dot.
- Awkward loads. Long, unstackable or mixed freight that a network would surcharge, or simply turn away.
Why a Dedicated Vehicle Wins on Time-Critical Freight
Across the UK, palletised goods now make up 27% of all road freight journeys, more than any other method of transport, according to the Department for Transport’s 2025 road freight statistics. That’s a lot of pallets competing for space on a shared network. Pallet networks solve it through consolidation, combining loads at a hub to reach vehicle fill rates that the SMMT reports often exceed 72%, comfortably above the average for general road freight. That’s efficient for the network. It isn’t fast for you if your pallet has to wait for the van to fill up. Book a dedicated vehicle instead and your freight moves the moment the driver arrives, not when the truck’s full.
Booking a Same Day Pallet Van
Tell us how many pallets, their weight and dimensions, and whether there’s a forklift or loading bay at each end. That’s genuinely all a controller needs to fix your price and get a driver moving. Timed delivery slots, booking references and site inductions get sorted at the point of booking, so your driver turns up already briefed. You’ll get progress updates as the job runs, then photo proof of delivery the moment it’s done.
Who We Move Pallets For
Manufacturers call us when line-side parts can’t wait for the next scheduled network run. We handle plenty of this work around Manchester’s industrial estates, where one missed part can hold up an entire production line.
Retailers and ecommerce warehouses use us when a pallet has to land in a booked RDC slot that a network can’t promise. That’s common out of Birmingham, where several major distribution centres sit close to the motorway network.
Construction sites need materials on site before the next trade turns up, not next morning. We run this daily around Bristol as well as London and the rest of the UK.

Pallet & Freight Delivery FAQs
How much does same day pallet delivery cost?
It’s priced by the job, not per pallet, so moving two to five pallets a decent distance often works out close to a premium network rate, and it’s usually quicker. Tell us the collection and delivery points, pallet count and weight, and we’ll give you one fixed price before you book.
Do I need a forklift at collection or delivery?
No. Choose a Luton with a tail lift and the driver lowers each pallet to the ground on a pump truck. Just tell us the ground surface and access at both ends so we send the right vehicle.
Is my freight insured in transit?
Yes. Every job runs under full goods-in-transit cover, and you’ll get photo or signature proof of delivery the moment your pallets are tipped. Tell us the declared value at booking if it’s high-value freight.
Can you deliver into a booked RDC slot?
Yes. We handle timed delivery slots, booking references and site inductions for retail RDCs, factories and construction sites as a matter of course, and the driver arrives briefed and ready.
What’s the maximum weight per pallet?
Up to 1,000kg per pallet on our Luton, or 1,200kg spread across three pallets on a LWB van. Give us accurate weights when you book. It keeps the job legal and your price exact.
How many pallets can one vehicle carry?
A Luton with a tail lift takes up to five standard pallets in one run. Need more than that? We simply pair up vehicles running the same route together, so it still arrives the same day.
How fast can a same day pallet courier respond to a line-down parts emergency?
Collections are usually arranged within 30 to 60 minutes of booking. Give us the pallet count, weight and collection point, along with the time the line needs it, and we’ll work back from that to confirm a realistic collection slot.
Do we need a forklift at the delivery site?
No. Choose a tail-lift Luton and the driver brings each pallet down on a pump truck. Just tell us the ground surface and access at both ends so we can confirm the right vehicle.
Can you move a single urgent pallet, or only multi-pallet loads?
Both. A single pallet is priced and dispatched in exactly the same way as a five-pallet load, on a dedicated vehicle with no depot handling in between.
Can we set up a regular pallet run instead of booking each one separately?
Yes. Predictable supplier shuttles and inter-plant transfers usually move onto a contract arrangement, with fixed rates, consistent drivers and monthly invoicing instead of a fresh booking every time. Got a pallet that has to be on the line before the next shift starts? Get a same day courier quote and we’ll confirm collection within the hour.
