How do I arrange a courier to collect a parcel?
Call or send us the parcel size, the collection address, the delivery address and the deadline. You get one fixed all-inclusive price back, and a driver is usually with you within 30 to 60 minutes in London. Nothing is dropped at a shop and nothing passes through a depot: the same driver who collects it hands it over at the other end.
Parcel Collection and Delivery Without the Network
Most parcel delivery in the UK works on a hub-and-spoke model. Your item is collected on a round, taken to a depot, sorted overnight, trunked to another depot, sorted again and finally put on a local round. That is why it is cheap, why it takes a day or more, and why the tracking sometimes goes quiet for twelve hours.
We do the opposite. Your parcel goes into a van on its own and stays there. There is no sorting hub, no overnight trailer and no second round, so there is nothing to be mis-sorted onto, no cage for it to be crushed in and no depot for it to sit in over a weekend.
That matters most when a parcel is genuinely time-critical, valuable, irreplaceable or simply too awkward for a conveyor. If it can wait three days and it fits in a shoebox, a network is cheaper and you should use one. If it cannot, this is what a same day parcel courier is for.
How to Send a Parcel by Courier in Four Steps
1. Tell us the parcel
Rough size and weight, and what is inside. Nothing needs to be exact; it just decides the vehicle and whether anything needs special handling.
2. Give both addresses
Where it is now and where it is going, plus a contact at each end and the deadline it has to meet.
3. Accept a fixed price
One all-inclusive figure covering van, driver, fuel, congestion and Clean Air Zone charges. No fuel surcharge or remote-area fee appears afterwards.
4. We collect and deliver
A driver arrives, takes the parcel and drives it direct. You get progress on the way and photographed proof of delivery at the far end.
You do not need an account, a minimum volume or a printed label. Handwrite the address on the box, or tell the driver where it is going.
Need a Parcel Picked Up Today?
Tell us the size and both postcodes and we’ll quote in minutes. Collection across London is typically within the hour.
Same Day, Overnight or Next Day Parcel Delivery
The right option depends entirely on the deadline, and the cheapest one is rarely the fastest.
Same day
Same day parcel delivery means collected within the hour and delivered today on a dedicated vehicle. The default for anything with a deadline, a hearing, a shift or a production line attached to it.
Overnight
Collected this evening, delivered before the receiving business opens. Useful when the working day ended before the job did, and cheaper than holding a driver all day.
Next day
If a parcel genuinely can wait until tomorrow and fits standard limits, a network will beat us on price. We will say so rather than sell you a dedicated van you do not need.
For parcels past roughly 30kg or 1.2m, see our large and heavy item courier service instead.

Parcel Collection Across London and the UK
We handle parcel pick up and delivery anywhere in the UK, on one vehicle, without the parcel changing hands.
Parcel delivery London work makes up most of what we run day to day, with collection across every borough typically within 30 to 60 minutes of booking. Outside London the collection window depends on where the nearest available driver is, and we give you a realistic number before you book rather than an optimistic one afterwards. We run regularly to Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Glasgow, and you can see the full list of locations or our most requested routes.
Parcel Collection and Delivery FAQs
How do I arrange a courier to collect a parcel?
Call us or send the details through the quote form: parcel size, collection address, delivery address and the deadline. We confirm a fixed price, then a driver is dispatched straight to you, typically within 30 to 60 minutes across London. There is no account to open and no label to print.
How much does parcel collection and delivery cost?
You are paying for a vehicle and a driver rather than a slot on a round, so the price is driven by distance and van size rather than by weight bands. A short cross-town run is modest; a cross-country dedicated run costs what the journey costs. Either way you get one fixed all-inclusive figure before you commit, with fuel, congestion and Clean Air Zone charges already in it.
Do I need to package or label the parcel first?
Package it well enough to survive being carried and secured in a van, which is far less than a conveyor demands. You do not need a printed label: the delivery address written on the box, or simply given to the driver, is enough because the same driver keeps it the whole way.
Can you collect a parcel from a residential address?
Yes. Homes, flats, offices, building sites, hospitals, auction houses and storage units are all routine. We just need someone there to hand it over, or clear instructions on where it is and who is releasing it.
Is my parcel insured in transit?
Every job runs under goods-in-transit and public liability cover as standard, and you get photographed proof of delivery. If the contents are high in value, tell us the figure when you book so we can confirm the cover in writing before the van moves.
Can I track the parcel?
Yes, and it is simpler than a network. Because one driver has it from collection to delivery, you can be told exactly where it is at any point by calling us, and you get proof of delivery with a photograph once it is handed over.
What size parcel can you take?
Anything from an envelope to a van load. There is no upper weight band to fall foul of, because we size the vehicle to the job rather than forcing the job into a band. Past roughly 30kg or 1.2m it is worth booking our large item courier service so the right van and equipment are sent.

Which Vehicle Will Your Job Need?
Every job travels on a dedicated vehicle sized to the load, so you are never paying for space you do not use. If you are unsure which applies, describe the items when you call and we will advise.
| Vehicle | Typical capacity | Typically carries |
|---|---|---|
| Small van | 400kg | Boxed goods, documents, small parts |
| SWB van | 800kg / 1 pallet | Cartons, cases, single pallet loads |
| LWB van | 1,200kg / 3 pallets | Longer items up to 4m, multiple pallets |
| Luton with tail lift | 1,000kg / 5 pallets | Heavy or bulky loads with no forklift at either end |
