Is there a courier that delivers on Saturday and Sunday?
Yes. We run a full weekend courier service, collecting and delivering on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays exactly as we do midweek. It is a dedicated vehicle either way, so there is no weekend round to wait for and no Monday backlog to join.
Most of the delivery industry treats the weekend as an exception. Networks run reduced Saturday services, almost nothing on a Sunday, and anything collected late on Friday sits somewhere until Monday. If your problem happens at four o’clock on a Saturday, that is not much use.
Our weekend courier service works because there is no round and no depot in the model. A driver is allocated to your job specifically, so a Sunday booking is operationally identical to a Tuesday one. The only thing that changes is how many other vehicles are on the road, which usually works in your favour.
Saturday Courier Service
Saturday is our busiest weekend day and it looks much like a weekday. Collection across Greater London is typically within 30 to 60 minutes, and the roads are usually clearer, so long runs to Manchester, Bristol or Leeds often take less time than they would on a Friday.
Common Saturday work is retail and trade counter stock moving between branches, event and exhibition deliveries for a Sunday opening, construction materials for weekend site work, and private jobs like auction collections and furniture that could only be arranged for a Saturday.
Sunday Courier Service
Sunday is quieter but entirely available. A Sunday delivery courier is most often booked for something that genuinely cannot wait until Monday: a part for a plant running a weekend shift, clinical samples or medication, broadcast and print material on a deadline, or a replacement for something that failed on Saturday.
Because there is less traffic, Sunday is frequently the fastest day of the week for a long-distance run. A job that takes five hours on a weekday afternoon can take four on a Sunday morning.

Call now and speak to a person, not an answerphone. Fixed price agreed before the van moves, Saturday or Sunday.
What a Weekend Booking Actually Costs
Here is the honest position, because this is where weekend delivery usually gets murky.
Weekend and bank holiday work is generally priced a little above the equivalent weekday job. That reflects the premium the driver is paid for working a Saturday or Sunday, and nothing else. There is no separate weekend surcharge bolted on at the end, no out-of-hours administration fee and no minimum spend that only appears once you are committed.
You are quoted one fixed all-inclusive figure before you book, covering the vehicle, the driver, fuel and any congestion or clean air charge on the route. If you call on a Sunday and the price is higher than the Wednesday equivalent, we will tell you why on the phone rather than in an invoice.
Weekend, Overnight or Out of Hours?
These overlap and the right one depends on when the gap actually is.
| Service | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Weekend courier | Saturday, Sunday or a bank holiday, during the day. This page. |
| Overnight courier | Collected in the evening, delivered before the receiving business opens. |
| Urgent courier | A deadline hours away, any day of the week. |
| Emergency courier | Something has already gone wrong and the cost of the delivery stopped mattering. |
If you are not sure, describe the deadline and we will tell you which is cheapest for what you actually need.
Bank Holidays and Christmas
We run 365 days a year, which includes bank holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Those days are genuinely quiet on the roads and genuinely difficult to get anything moved, which is exactly why the service exists.
The one thing worth checking on a bank holiday or over Christmas is the other end. Plenty of trading estates, hospitals and offices have restricted access or nobody on site, and a delivery that arrives to a locked gate has not really arrived. Tell us who will be there to receive it when you book and we will plan around it.
Where We Run at Weekends
Everywhere we run midweek. Collection across London and the major cities is usually within the hour, and the rest of the UK depends on where the nearest available driver is, which we will tell you honestly before you book. See our full list of courier locations or the routes we run most often.
Weekend Courier FAQs
Do you really deliver on a Sunday?
Yes, every Sunday, and it is a normal booking rather than a favour. Because we allocate a dedicated vehicle rather than running a round, a Sunday job works exactly like a weekday one. Sunday is often the quickest day of the week for a long-distance run because the roads are clear.
Is a Saturday delivery more expensive?
Usually slightly, because the driver is paid a premium for weekend work. That is the only reason. There is no separate weekend surcharge, out-of-hours fee or minimum spend added afterwards, and you get one fixed all-inclusive price before you commit.
How late on a Saturday can I book?
Any time. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, including Saturday evening and through the night. The realistic question is not when you book but where the nearest available driver is, and we will give you a genuine collection time rather than an optimistic one.
Do you work bank holidays and over Christmas?
Yes, 365 days a year including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The thing worth checking is access at the delivery end, because a lot of sites are closed or unstaffed. Tell us who will be there to receive it and we will work to that.
What is the difference between a weekend courier and an overnight courier?
Timing. A weekend courier covers Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays during the day. An overnight courier collects in the evening and delivers before the receiving business opens the next morning. Plenty of jobs use both, for example collected Friday evening and delivered Saturday morning.
Can you collect from a residential address at the weekend?
Yes, and weekends are when most private collections happen because people are actually at home. Auction pickups, marketplace purchases and furniture are routine Saturday work. Just tell us about stairs, parking or access when you book.
