    Quick answer

Is there a same day courier in Hastings?

Yes. We collect across TN34, TN35, TN37 and TN38, including St Leonards, usually within the hour, and drive straight to your recipient with nothing else in the van. Bexhill is about 15 minutes away, Tunbridge Wells around 45, Gatwick an hour and a quarter and London roughly two hours. The cost is set before collection.

Getting In and Out of Hastings Has Always Been the Hard Part

Hastings is a lively coastal town with a working fishing beach, a historic Old Town and a growing creative scene. What it has never had is a fast road. The A21 to the M25 is single carriageway for long stretches, and the A259 along the coast winds through every town between Rye and Eastbourne. For a same day delivery, the first and last miles often take longer than the motorway in between.

One stubborn gap on the north side of town has been the target of a long-running road scheme. East Sussex County Council explains that the Queensway Gateway Road links the A21 Sedlescombe Road North with Queensway as part of the Hastings Bexhill Growth Corridor. Building started in 2017, the council took the project over in 2024 to finish the A21 connection, and it expects the completed road to unlock employment land.

Why That Link Matters to a Courier

Queensway runs past the Conquest Hospital and the business estates on the northern edge of Hastings. With the connection complete, a van leaving those estates for London or Tunbridge Wells can avoid threading back through Silverhill and Baldslow. That shaves minutes off runs heading north. A courier in Hastings is only as quick as its route out of town, so we use the new link whenever it saves time.

    FAQs

    Hastings Courier FAQs

Does the Queensway Gateway Road make Hastings to London faster?

From the northern estates and the Conquest Hospital area it can. Where the link is open and quicker, the van joins the A21 directly instead of cutting back through town.

Can you collect fish or seafood from the Stade?

Yes. Let us know the catch, the weight and the buyer’s address, and we can keep it cool on the way to a restaurant, market or wholesaler.

Do you cover Bexhill, Battle and Rye?

Yes, along with Hollington, Ore, Fairlight, Westfield, Sedlescombe and the villages inland.

What does a weekend courier from Hastings cost?

Saturday and Sunday runs carry a small premium over a Monday to Friday daytime booking, and the Hastings quote already shows it.

Can you get an antique from St Leonards to a London dealer today?

Yes. The piece is wrapped, strapped and carried alone. See our fragile courier page for how we handle valuable items.
